Bob,
I added a piece of 1" upholstery foam to my seat tops after
recovering using the TRF kit. The amount of "horse hair" type
filler was just not enough to keep me from feeling the springs
through my pants.
This small modification made a big improvement in seat comfort.
If I did it again I might try to switch to 3/4 or 1/2 inch foam.
I cut it to the shape of the cushion and then shaved off the
edges on a low angle to allow the seat cover to wrap around the
foam on the edges so it would look natural and original.
