Hi guys,
I've pulled the transmission ready to install the OD gearbox.
I've always had an oil leak, I have suspected it was probably a rear seal.
How do I know whether or not the leak is the seal or not. While I have all
this out I decided to change the oil pan seal since I'm there.(all the thread
encouraged me to ) I applied a bead of permatex form a gasket to the pan
flange after I straighten the flange. I placed the gasket into place with a
slight wiggle to seat it (oh the wiggle was the gasket not me) turned it over,
placed a weight on top to allow it to set. Tomorrow I will install the pan.
