Thanks, all of you, for your responses. Wow, this was probably
the most active thread I've ever started! Anyhow, I have decided
to scan in that little book and put it up on the web. There's no
copyright notice in it that I can find.
I have a scanner at work which will produce gifs & jpegs, but
that's all. So, a few questions before I proceed:
Which is smaller, gif or jpeg? I can't remember. The output
would be b&w, of course.
Would a pdf file be more useful for many people? I understand
Acrobat Exchange is useful for the conversion. Would the output
be searchable? Does anyone have a copy of A.E. that would be
willing to do the conversion for me? I'd post the output on my
private home page (which is empty right now).
