If you're not planning on entering it in concours competition, why
the heck not?
I'm considering a nice blue for my car; I've corresponded a bit with
a gentleman in Australia over this car:

and it turns out it's a Ford color:

Another one I like a lot is the deep, dark blue used on Ford Tauruses
(Taurii?) in the late '90s ... I know, I know, it's a d*mn Ford
station wagon, but it's a heck of a nice color ... maybe it's even
the same color as Allan's TR3.
So ... you're not the only one considering this! Let not
unoriginality deter you!
