Follow up question:
Has anyone ever installed any non-stock Speedo or Tach in their Triumph?
I know that would border on heresy for some of you, but some of those 5"
instruments from Autometer look pretty neat. They can be electronically
signaled and thus getting rid of the dreaded mechanical cable related
annoyances.

Furthermore, the speedo can be re-calibrated easily.
Which is handy for those of us having non stock rears, and tires.
Some of the Tachs have a memory and can "play back" recorded info, even
download it to a computer or printer.
It'd make for some interesting performance data.
