The gas tank float in my TR-6 had this problem a couple of years ago. I
drained it, dried it out, and sealed the leak with some gasoline resistant
goop (RTV? I forget). It worked fine for a little while and then developed
a new leak. I bought a brand new sending unit w/float and the problem went
away.
