The brake booster on my '72 TR6 is leaking. Of course, it's ruining paint
inside the engine bay. (This is why I hate DOT 4 in these cars, and will
change it out to DOT 5 now ...)
The leak is slow but sure, and appears at the bottom of the servo unit.
Question is, do I need a rebuild, or a new booster, and how do I tell the
difference. (There is, by the way, no noticeable drop in performance of the
unit.)
The PO who restored my car is unavailable, so I can't ask him what, if
anything, he did to the booster ...
