Its been a while since I last did this, but I simply put a hydraulic floor
jack under the trailing arm, jacked it up a bit to support the trailing arm
and releive the tension of the spring on the shock link, undo the shock
link, and then SLOWLY lower the jack under the trailing arm.  The arm drops
and then the spring just falls loose.  The jack prevents the spring from
suddenly releasing.  Easy.  I wish the front springs were as easy.
