I would like to thank everybody who gave me insights on my tire/Whire Wheel
questions. To summ the resulting actions up, I went back to our local
Tires Plus store (in Hudson, Wisconsin), and questioned them on my
concerns. They took me into the shop, showed and demonstrated the tire
changing equipment (and it is the one that holds the wheel at its edges)
and the computer controlled balancer. This unit can be adapted to any kind
of wheels (with differen machine inserts, rubber bumpers, cones, etc.), and
the lead technician told me that he had done quite a few whire wheels
before, and infect, owns a car that has them (MG). I feel pretty good now
to try them, specifically since they will allow me to be present during the
entire work (I have a degree in mechanical engineering and hope to be able
to detect any week spots in their procedure if this should happen).

Thank you all again for your friendly help extendet a Triumph novice!
