I suggest you set them just low enough to not see the pressure variation from the pump (use a gauge T'ed in) My staock elec. pump pulses between 2.2 and 3.25 pounds Setting mine to 2-2.5 keeps it solid (while the engine is running and idling) at 2.25 pounds.
