Hello,

I bought a car a few months ago that came with those same wheels. (even got 
the original Shelby boxes-- the PO used them to store the takeoffs)  They are 
cast aluminum.  They look pretty sturdy to me.  Dye checking is a very good 
idea once you get them nice and clean.  Also, look closely at the holes for 
the lug nuts, checking for out of shape, etc.
