For personal reasons, my beloved 1970 GT6+ needs to be sold. My price is =
firm, but very reasonable for what's already been done to her. I know =
you never recoup what you put into a car, but between myself and the two =
POs, there's over $10,000 in this car (yeah...too much)
I want $4,500 for her. She has:
New floors and sills, no structural rust in the frame or body...only a =
few surface spots. The paint is good, and presents itself very nicely as =
a driver. She took second place in class (Spits / GT6s) at Bowie this =
summer, but she's not a show car. The engine was rebuilt by a PO 8,000 =
miles ago as was the tranny; both perform beautifully. I have put on new =
bumpers, new windshield, new windsheild and rear window rubbers and =
trim, new door fuzzies (inner and outer), new door panels, new dash, new =
carpet, Minilite replicas, and Conti Sport Contact 90s (175/ 70)...the =
highest performance tire available in that size. Her suspension has been =
rebuilt front and rear. All she really needs is to have her seats =
recovered, new rear interior panels, and maybe a headliner (white one =
looks dingy...probably original).
If you want a GT6, buy them like this ...where the PO spent all the =
money and you get to enjoy driving and tinkering. Sure, there are GT6s =
out there for half what I'm asking, but the parts needed for those cars =
are surely going to cost more than what you'll spend if you take =
advantage of my need to sell. I'm in Baltimore. Here's a photo of her:
