Ronnie, Is the tansmission an A-type OD? If som then the only difference I
know of
is the length of the nose on the input shaft (it does not protrude forward of
the flange of the
bellhousing), and there is variability in the size/type of bearing between the
input shaft and the main shaft. As far as I know, all the floats are the same
as the 4A.

in the middle of tearing down my trans and all I have is a 3a-4a manual and
there is some difference. I also need the specs. on the end float.
