Hi Jonmac, Andy & Co:
I read your responses with great interest. I have just purchased
this car and am still awaiting delivery. When I wrote my first Comm. #
inquiry. I copied the Comm.#'s from the title paper, written by the
State of Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles.
Both yours & Andy's response is very interesting, My first instinct
was that the "Ma. RMV" simply made an error in recording the Comm. #. I
hope to have the car delivered to my home this weekend. Not sure it will
happen (awaiting a large nor east storm). Once delivered I will look to
locate the Comm.#.
I will let you know what I find. You also mentioned that the "D"
could mean "D"toxed? (Better than "D"stilled)? eh? :-)
Also would a application for a "Heritage Certificate" clear this up?
Thanks: I really enjoy your posts!
FYI: This same "Title" shows this car has less than 5300. miles on it.?
Hard to believe, but it is solid! Maybe? Cloth seats, Centered Brake
Servo.
