If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel you can always hold down the control
key and rotate the wheel to increase or decrease web page font size. You're
still stuck at 600 pixels wide but the font will get bigger and the text
will wrap.............. at least it does for me!

VTR Web Master,

I like the new format and colorful approach but don't like the
fact the screen width is so small. Much of the material doesn't
fit and word wraps. It needs a wider format.

I use a 1024x768 density on a 17" monitor, which is not high tech
at all, and would like the option to allow the material to spread
across a larger screen. It seems to be aimed at 640x480 as the
optimum screen size. 640x480 has pretty much become obsolete.

Just feedback for your consideration

[NOTE: Please reply to <vtr-www@www.vtr.org>]

Today, November 17, 2000, the 6th anniversary of the official
introduction of
a web site for The Vintage Triumph Register, I am happy to
announce that a
revamped VTR web site is now in place. The new look is a product
of much work
by new VTR WWW Maintainer [and Herald owner! :-) ] Jill Kallos,
with much
input and help from Ken Streeter, Web Maintainer Emeritus, and
others.

Do note that one or two sections -- notably the Classified Ads --
are
experiencing minor problems, but we hope to have that solved
shortly.

We hope that all will find the revamped pages to their liking and
will
continue to find the VTR site useful and informative. Of course,
we welcome
any and all input in the form of contributions, but comments and
constructive
criticism are appreciated as well. Please direct any such
comments to
<vtr-www@www.vtr.org>.
