i have electronic ignition; i am going to check out the coil as its an
orignial lucas. my regulator went on the alternator 2 weeks ago; maybe when
it was over charging :the coil might have gotten damaged, the red light on
the dash doesn't come on anymore ,when the ignition switch is turned on, (
its supposed to light up briefly with the oil light, when key is 1st turned
on )though it did light up briefly when switched off. battery hasn't been
able to hold chage over nite also.
