I was reminded by Fred's note in re fiberglass strap impressions left in a
hoisted hardtop. Under the hot sun, the underside of my tonneau cover
"texturizes" the steering wheel where they come into contact. Does this happen
with a stock TR4 wheel? Or is it the result of the PO's "restoration" of an
original black plastic steering wheel? Or is this a special feature for improved
control?

...which he installed after he sold off the dealer-option wood wheel because it
felt flimsy. D'oh! I'm not bitter of course, since another lucky list member is
enjoying it and I'm sure someday he'll tire of it and sell it back to me. <g>
