Randall, I got 60K miles out of my first set of Michelin X's (1964 -1969).
The car was also used as the family car in the NorthEast (when I wasn't off
fighting wars) from Dec'65. They (car and tires) sat in the open for 7
months in an Army Motor Pool in North Carolina in summer/fall '65 while I was
deployed to the Domincan Republic. They also sat in a storage garage in LA
for 13 months while I was in Vietnam -- In addition to the 60K miles of
driving. Never had a problem. Cheers.
