Well said, Bob ! However, I also see that we tend to keep our LBCs far longer than ordinary cars, and thus hold replacement parts to a far higher standard. Most aftermarket replacement parts for ordinary cars are lucky if they make it to 5 years without falling apart, and I've bought a fair share that were flat defective out of the box.
