Justin,

First the really easy part to answer: to post to the list just send an email
to triumphs@autox.team.net

Now for the grill. I'm pretty sure the grill in my TR3B is not original
(judging by the amazing things I've found elsewhere in the car). My body
shop guy did the EXACT same thing with me just before they were getting
ready to put the paint on. They ended up just saying that I should bring it
back after installing the grill and they'd touch up where needed. I never
considered that the grill was the wrong size, just darn hard to fit
(especially after the metal on the apron is straightened back out nicely).

I heard from many listers that it is very hard to get it in, and it usually
ends up with a bit of a concave shape before you're done. I've also heard
from several that scratching brand new paint is a fairly regular occurrence
when putting them back in. Fortunately, for probably the one and only time
in the entire restoration, it ended up being FAR easier than it appeared it
would. I lined up the bottom portion as best I could and carefully forced
the top edge into the apron opening. It bent inwards a very tiny bit as I
stressed it, but not at all noticeably. And best of all it didn't leave any
marks (sure wish I could say the same about a bunch of other stuff I've done
since the painting!). I've even had to take it out and put it back in two
more times, and am still unscathed.

Yours may indeed be too big, but I'd have you or your body guy try coaxing
it in (before painting). You may find that it doesn't really end up being as
terrible as it first seems that it will.

Good luck!
