Stag Engine swap

Fellow listers,

I am helping a computer il-literate (ludite that he is) friend with his
Stag.  Since the original motor is well knackered and the heads are nowhere
to be found and the engine is somewhat problematic, we feel that a Rover V8
swap is a reasonable thing to do (I read that this swap is quite popular in
the UK).  I would appreciate any words of wisdom about this topic.  Contact
