Hello Dave. You can rotate the half's of the TR-7 alternator. So all the mounting tabs line up as the same as TR-6 alternator. And the plug is the same and pulley lines up. I have one on my 74 TR-6. I know it works. Going on three years now. Yes, it is bigger, But same as a GM unit. I have another rebuilt one for Lucas. That I was going to install on my 250. Last night I mounted a GM unit on it.
