"Why would a Canadian have to pay import duties on something originating within the United Kingdom??" you ask. Because there is no special trade relationship between Britain and Canada or most other former colonies/commonwealth countries. Britain is part of the EU and bugger everyone else. And Canada charges duties on stuff no matter where it comes from, including NAFTA countries! |
