Thanks to all that responded. I looked at the wires real close and it seems
the wire going to #1 was tight against the alternator. I rerouted the wire
and I'll see how this turns out. A few mentioned rings and valves. I
failed to mention that the engine was rebuilt by the previous owner just
prior to me buying the car. All cylinders measure 170 to 180 on the
compression test. Hopefully rerouting the wires will cure the problem. I
just need to get out and drive it now (darn the luck).
