Well actually Bud, to keep the record straight, I have been allowed to keep my 
Medal, because since I was put in the wrong class and I
don't think there was actually any other Spitfires that would have been running 
against me had the classes been done properly...  Ray
and Dortha Marty said that I should keep the medal.  

Now at least I can (as you say) look at it with some measure of self respect!

P.S. the only thing that puts the little red Spit out of stock class is the 
(almost) stock 1500 engine.  Had I only gone up to a 1296
rather than a 1500 it would have been ok!
