For a 1957 TR3 I'd bet on either Silverstone or Phantom Grey. Greatly doubt that Gunmetal would have gone back that far and it was a medium gray with dark blue mixed in it. Fairly severe to look at but when polished, came up well. A popular colour for field and Press cars because it always looked fiarly presentable, even when dirty . Colours usually stayed in the range for two, sometimes three years though not all colours were available on all models at the same time. Jonmac |
