Hi Pierre
Make sure you have the anti squeal shims in place, these are thin plates
that fit between the piston and the pad with a cut-out /cutaway area
depending on the pattern, the function of these is to create a slight lead
in. These things often crack and get thrown away, some brands of new pads
come with a pad made on, if you have either of these types ensure they are
fitted the right way round, they should make the trailing edge of the pad
touch first. The trailing edge of the pad is the edge that is passed last by
a point on the circumference of the disc /rotor when turning in the normal
direction of rotation.
If you do not have anti squeal shims then the noise can be reduced by the
liberal application of anti seize grease to the backing plate of the pad.
