Cam bearings TR2/3

Hello List:
While checking the specs of my TR2, realize that it does not have cam
bearings; the cam runs in the block, supplied by oil. This was changed
early in the TR3 production.  Wondering if it is possible to refit cam
bearings in the early blocks?  Will have to do my motor over in the near
future and think this would be a wise change.  Any insights?
