The 3/16" or 1/4" inner diameter pipes into the oil cooler are generally thought to be too small for an engine oil cooler, and therfore provide too great a restriction on the pump. As Stags are notorious for a low capacity oil system, I would think you would be better off with a correct,1/2" or 9/16" ID plumbing system, including a thermostatic bypass valve. We have found the Stag benefits greatly from engine oil coolers in hot climates Terry O'Beirne GT6 racer, TR5, 2500 racer etc etc |
