hi all,
haven't been on the list for about two or three years for various reasons
mostly to do with internet providers.
anyway just resurrected the herald after about two years of sitting in the
best shed it's ever been in, and had a beautiful top-down drive to my new
home in the country about 200km (125miles?) away.
after running around here for a few weeks i pulled off all four wheels to
look at brakes, suspension etc and found a dead rubber bush in the left
front lower wishbone. i removed the lower wishbone as i was having trouble
getting the new bush in and while it was off i inspected the lower steering
trunnion. looking from above, if i rotate the trunnion anticlockwise
(equivalent to turning the wheel left) it turns freely to the limit of its
travel.
if i rotate it the other way it quickly gets tight.
is this normal, or am i flirting with death?
derek

getting most of the non driveable triumph bits here)
