How do I make sure the lower bearing race stays in place while I'm putting the box cover on? The bearing and cover face downwards and the cover blocks my view of the bearing so I can't tell if it moves. Would a gob of axle grease be incompatible with the gear oil that's normally in the steering box? The axle grease should hold it temporarily. Art McEwen art.mcewen@moh.gov.on.ca |
