Message text written by "Pat" >Out or a cruise around the water tonight I detected a "Thunk thunk thunk" in the front right wheel of my 1966 TR4A "IRS" (Wires). Each "Thunk" was in time with a full wheel rotation.... Yes the wire wheel is on tightly... And when I feather the brakes the "Thunk" goes away. There is no excessive "Play" in the wheel that I can determine. I am woundering if it is a bearing ? < Double check the nuts that secure the spline hub. If those nuts come loose it doesn't matter how tight the knock-off is. Dave |
