I've been preparing a different frame to set my 4A on and decided I needed to
clean up the threads on top of the shock towers (light rust and paint
overspray on them). I chased through them with a cheapo tap from my $5.99
complete tap and die set without thinking that the tool would create any
problems (it was hot, I wasn't thinking clearly).
Now the bolts that hold on the top of the front suspension are a little loose
as I screw them in. I can wiggle them slightly from side to side before they
go down all the way. So:
1. should I just use new lock washers and not worry?
2. should I apply Locktite and not worry?
3. should I try to ream the threads out even further and go with a larger
bolt? (Maybe a metric size or some special oversize tap and bolt?)
