Has anyone else had trouble with the fit-up of TR6 tail lamp housings? I
have four sets rangeing in condition from poor to perfect. The only ones
that fit my car are the pitted ones. The really nice ones have a different
shape, which is more prononuced on the Left side than the Right. I'm
baffled. I'm ready to put the tail lamps in but now I'll need to send the
crappy ones off for rechroming at a huge expense....not something I was
counting on at this stage.
Did Triumph change the shape of these over the years? All my LH have the
same part number and all the RH have the same number so this variation in
shape has me baffled.
If anyone has a nice (uncracked) LH tail lamp housing laying around, I might
be interested in buying it to see if the fit is good and it would be a
better candidate for chroming.
