It sounds to me like the brakes or brake on that side is sticking on this
can be the pistons in the calliper if it is only one wheel if however two or
more wheels are involved it may be the master cylinder, this happened to a
friend visiting us the other day but his came on so hard he had to drive the
car in first to move it off a roundabout, turned out his master cylinder
seal was gone and the drain point between the servo and the cylinder was
blocked so the pressure built up in this area until the piston would not
come back up, sealing off the fluid return ports and keeping the pressure in
the brake circuit and holding the brakes on. The thing that we found
alarming was that if he had not had the original cylinder grown in tight his
brakes would have carried on leaking until they failed!
