        Certainly the loose stuff will come off, but I kinda doubt that the
varnish and other petro-gunk will come off.   Unless of course you
substitute  Tri-Chlor for the Cascade.
IF you can find someone with an Ultrasonic Cleaner, dump in some Acetone and
everything comes out really nice.  Beware, though as the acetone will
volatilize and the fumes burn with great vigor.
make sure the ventilation is good!!!

this?  My good Lady has indicated she would be happy for me to try this in
the DW, as long as the carbs were in there by themselves.

I have a set of 3 x Weber 40 DCOEs I need to clean up before I install them
in my GT6!!!
