I have a similar unit, that I use with a petroleum based solvent (got the 
washer and solvent as a package from Enco).  I'm not particularly happy 
with it, it doesn't seal tight enough to prevent solvent evaporation when 
not in use, and the pump failed after only about 2 years (maybe 20 hours 
total run time).  It would probably work better with a modern water based 
solvent.

I'm currently collecting parts to build my own replacement : SS kitchen 
sink, old drill motor and cheap pump, 15 gallon steel drum, etc.
