I found that a thermostatic switch for a 1985 Chrysler New Yorker, 2.2 liter
with air conditioning can directly replace the thermostatic vacuum switch
that was installed in the top radiatior hose for late model TR6s.
This thermostatic switch can be directly connected to control the electric
fan. I recommend using 90 degree connectors to keep the profile of the
wiring as low as possible and to allow you to zip tie the wires to the top
radiator hose. This will ensure the connectors don't shake loose which would
result in an overheated car.
