low friction oils (like Mobil One) won't do well in an OD gearbox. Internal OD
clutch will start slipping. So non of these oils nor additives are recommended.

Best advise is to use:

 - regular (mineral) engine oil 20-50
or
 - SAE 80-90 gearbox oil

Triumph required the SAE 80-90 oil for all gearboxes.

But there has been an large test from the TR Register on OD gearboxes. Normal
engine oil increased the lifetime of the OD box significantly (better oil
supply in cold and still working well in hot conditions).
