Can someone please explain the differences between the transmissions
used in the TR series? Exactly what I want to know is which ones will
work in a TR-3 because I _think_ any of them from a 3 to a 6 will work,
but there must be more to it than that. I know the older ones are
non-sync, and folks put 6's in their 3's etc., but I would like to be
more informed. Also, feel free to tell me why I should/shouldn't
consider putting a TR-4 tranny in a '60 TR-3 (A?) because THAT'S really
what I'm thinking of doing. Having the numbers and visual differences
explained so I can spot-them-in-the-field would also be appreciated.
