Aribert,
The only thing I can think of is that having a much lower geared diff, the
driveshaft would be spinning faster at all speeds than it did before with the
3.27.  It could be that your shaft is out of balance and that shows up at higher
rpm.  With the 3.27 it would have taken a significantly higher speed for the
same rotational speed of the driveshaft to cause the vibration.

My suggestion is to remove the shaft and take it to a professional drive line
specialist and have it tested for balance.

If that doesn't solve the problem, you may have a problem inside the diff.
