Installed a solid steering rack mount on my '71 TR6 this weekend. What a
difference, wished I had done it sooner. Anyway, while working on the car
the wife comes out and asks, "What are you doing to the TR?", "How much did
this cost?", and "You know, you could have bought a new Miata for what you
have spent on this car." OUCH, while true that hurt. I explained that a
fine LBC is like a fine woman, you don't replace it with some pretty new toy
that comes around. (I almost said; "a fine old LBC is like a fine old
woman", that would have been a serious mistake). I don't think she bought
it but at least she seem pleased.
