As a way to "give back" and say thank you to all who have helped and
continue to help me with my restoration, I have started a totally free
auction page for all Triumph owners on my site:

It costs nothing to register, nothing to browse, nothing to post an item for
sale, nothing to buy and nothing when the item closes. In other words, it's
100% free and I will gain nothing financially from its operation.
Although it's not as flashy as eBay, alot of the features you enjoy and
depend upon are present:
Sellers can post either no minimum or minimum reserves.
Sellers can add HTML links for graphics and photos.
Seller determines the amount of acceptable bid increments.
Seller can choose a 1-14 day auction length.
Buyers and sellers can opt for the security of using a third party escrow
service that I have contracted with. For a very small and reasonable fee,
the buyer mails the escrow company their check. Once the seller's item is
received by the buyer, the funds are released by TradeSafe to the seller.
Users can leave feedback for each other
Sellers and bidders can all contact each other during the auction process
via e-mail
E-mail notification of item posts, bids, outbids and close of item are all
included.
Free mail servers are banned from registering to reduced the chance of fake
bids.
Unlike eBay, the focus of this auction is Triumph cars and parts ONLY -- and
to reiterate, it's 100% free. If enough of you like the concept, I'll keep
it going.
Right now, the site is fully functional and I've already placed an item for
bid (and have received a bid already!), but I'm still making some final
tweaks and taking care of a small bug that falsely implies to the seller
that they will be charged 5% when their item closes. They will NOT be. I'd
also appreciate some suggestions for further categories.
Please let me know what you think. I hope that my fellow listers can make
use of this resource. EBay is great -- I've used it repeatedly -- but it
costs money -- money that I know I'd rather be spending on stuff for my car.
Since I have the resources to do this and the programming skills to pull it
together, I thought that I'd share them with the rest of you. Hope you like
