One way to get the correct placement of TRIUMPH lettering is to make a
pattern from a hood with correct placement. This can be done by taking a
long strip of construction paper (similar to what is seen in Kindergarten)
and cutting it to match the shape of the hood. It should follow the fron
edge exactly, with the proper contours accounted for in the eyelid area.
Once a template is developed that can easily be placed over the hood using
the "eyeball" method, simply poke holes in the paper where the lettering
attaches. Once complete, place the template over your non-lettered hood and
color the holes in the paper with a marker.

Subject: TR4A hood pattern
I have a '66 TR4A ready for paint. The bonnet does not have holes drilled
for the "TRIUMPH" letters nor the globe. Does anyone know how to produce a
pattern to drill the holes in the correct locations? Any advice would be
appreciated.
