are you talking about the bottom part of the seat???? If so, then this is how 
my seats are in...    the bottom has a piece of padding missing agianst the 
hump [center]...  my car has a fluffy piece of padding [aprox. 4-5 in. tall] 
running from the radio support [front] to the rear of the floor pan.... the 
strip is covered in the same looking vinal as the seats and looks like its 
the other pad of the seat bottom..
