That's almost right, except that C1 should be connected to unswitched
power (originally the battery side of the ammeter), and W1 to switched
power (the hot side of the coil is an example of switched power, but the
original connection was to the ignition switch). Neither lead was
originally fused.
On a TR2/3, the relay is supposed to be mounted to the rear of the
battery box, inside the car. The book says to drill two 13/64" holes,
1/2" up from the bottom edge of the battery box, with the left hole
being 2 3/8" from the LH side of the box, and the right hole being 2
3/4" from the left hole. You'll have to remove the battery during this
operation, and until the relay is securely mounted.
