You have a point there, Phil. Perhaps these people (whoever they are, as
there were 8 bids & counting on the pamphlet/manual) aren't fully aware of
what is out there in the marketplace in terms of suppliers, big and small,
for TR parts and service. That's where the beauty of clubs enters into the
story. Clubs provide a sharing of the wealth and knowledge of the
collective, and inform people on who has the best deals, etc. The Internet
should do the same, but apparently not well enough if these sort of sales
still occur. Out-of-print Haynes manuals, perhaps, but not current flyers.
What is more frightening, is if these people aren't informed about parts,
what are they doing for SERVICE? I would not want to be at the mercy of
'specialists' if I didn't know of any reputations, prior experiences, etc.
Again, clubs (and this List!) provide that in abundance.
<Public Service Announcement> mode off!
Cheers, JD
