This statement was to "Preserve the Marque" not the mentioned -bend
stuff up- to get the Radiator out. Read the whole story the next time. 

With the "Prserve the Marque" theory, now's the time to fix the shroud
correctly.

The Fan hub assyembly for the guy putting back in the rad. witout a
crank hole, is the big problem. I've got two shrouds here that the DPO 
or Rad shop..just cut down the shroud either side of the radiator and
bent the sheet metal forward to get it out then welded it back up when
they put it back in.One of them didn't repaint but put a racing stripe
in tape over the car to hide the cut. With the cutting tools available
today you can open up the Quote "leaded seams" on the shroud easy enough
and do the job right.

  Why don't we just take the body loose and lift it up to clear the
radiator.  That can be done in shorter than 12 hours.(maybe excluding
one piece steering columns.).
