I use a 1/4" drive socket- backwards! You can't beat the square-to-square
fit.
My fave combination is a 10mm allen wrench in a matching socket.
Another good tool to have - although are very hard to find - are 7/16 4
point sockets. I have one, and have never seen another- but they are the
ones you want for removing stuck drain plugs (ie. transmission, diff)
