I got the master cylinder working by polishing the cylinder and using
Ruberlube grease on the rubber seals, thanks to Jim and Randall for you
help!
I was able to bleed the back brakes with no problem, but the front brakes
are not so easy. I get no brake fluid out of the caliper bleed screws. I
left both screws open and let them sit for an hour hoping to get the air
worked out of the brake lines with no luck. I detached the brake line on
the brake side of the pressure warning switch and brake fluid is making
through the warning switch. If I open the bleed screws, attach a hose and
suck I can hear the fluid trying to make it's way down the lines and a
little bit comes out, but when I try to bleed them nothing comes out.
I rebuilt the calipers, master cylinder and the wheel cylinders. I blew out
the brake lines with compressed air so I don't have any brake fluid in the
system at all. Does anyone have any tricks or suggestions that I can try?
Thanks in advance,
Rob
